Mad respect to all the girls who are fighting for their rights every single day in this sick, sad little world we are in ruled by prejudice and dominated by incredible jerks.
Keep fighting. You will find something. Or something will finally find you - who will fight with you, if anything else, will do all the fighting for you.
Just because you prefer walking than hailing a cab doesn’t mean you don’t have the cab money for it or you’re looking for a lift. Just because you have a madness for a hair color doesn’t mean you can be catcalled when you pass by a group of teenagers who obviously have a lot of growing up to do. Just because you are not reacting the way they expected you to doesn’t mean you’re playing hard to get & just need an extra push of some sort before you give in. Just because you are an expat doesn’t mean you can be tripped over and be a victim of their son of a gun egos. Just because you are alone doesn’t mean you’re lonely and looking for company. Just because you look unaffected doesn’t mean you don’t care. Because you do, deep inside you, you will always care. And that’s when you’re screwed cos frankly, they couldn’t care any less.
Never bend. Never back down. Never settle. Never compromise. Never let anyone make you feel less than the beautiful woman that you are and treat you less than the utmost royalty you deserve. NEVER. EVER.

Sunday Jun 6 @ 06:21pmToday marks the day of how a fangirl heart won’t faint. How it just won’t. How even against your better judgement and series of unfortunate events, a fangirl’s heart just won’t stop until it’s done.
Despite being lost more than once, consecutively taking the wrong train exits, reaching the end of them both but totally missing out THE station, having found out that the reservations made under your name days ago turns out to be bogus, that there’s nothing else you can do about tickets being sold out and you’ll probably end up not watching the only thing you’ve been looking forward to splurge on the year 2012, I dare say never ever underestimate the power of a determined fangirl. I may have failed in the sense that I am still ticketless at this point but my experience throughout it all is definitely worth telling.
At the end of my lost in metro stations drama, as fate would have it, or more like as fate would tease me some more, I went to buy phone credits when the cashier’s phone rang, she answered and I may have eavesdropped there a little but I kind of connected the conversation dots and later confirmed the phone call’s about the same thing I’m in search for - March 9 Sandance Tickets! Turns out the organizers pulled out 50 frickin’ advanced tickets yesterday. YESTERDAY in that same ENOC store. To think I only need 3. And I am one day little too late. Just my luck - not. Our friendly Kabayan cashiers out there helped out poor little me and gave me a contact number of an organizer. Next thing I know, I’m talking to a faceless man named Tim who’s got the sexiest accent in town and surely knows how to deliver a sad news to a desperate person. We can all use a little hope some time, if not all the time.
And now, I’m late for work, in the middle of Dubai, riding the metro for the 3rd time today, reaching nothing, going nowhere. It’s safe to say that I am now deeply considering moving into a new country all by my lonesome self, whether it’s good or bad consideration, I’m not sure yet. Getting lost ain’t a funny thing. But somehow being lost is.
And even if Dubai just handed me out the saddest news in fangirl history since the first Eraserheads Reunion Concert that was eventually cut short, I still managed to pull out some silver linings out of my misfortune. Think strangers, beautiful strangers and skyscrapers. Dubai, you’re forgiven.
Not bad, 25 year old fangirl self, not bad.
PS. Snow Patrol, you better be worth it. Though that’s highly likely cos well, it’s Snow Patrol by the beach with some fireworks on the side in Dubai. How can it not be worth it.
Thursday Mar 3 @ 07:35amA beautiful, welcome distraction
Too impossible to resist
Too obvious to go unnoticed
So that when reality starts creeping back
You’re already a step or two ahead
You’ve already cheated on it
In your own twisted world
You were already happy jyscmll (2012). Wednesday Feb 2 @ 08:34am
Sometimes life rocks so hard your heart wants to explore just because the sun came up and you got to feel it on your face for one more day.
Sometimes you get the bitter end instead.
